Grounds Improvement at the Chena River Lakes Flood Control Project

The Fairbanks Retriever Club currently holds a special use permit with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers that allows us to hold retriever events such as training, hunt tests, and field trials. In addition, we have been working closely with the Corps in order to help keep the grounds in good condition. We have already partially cleared around the large lake and have plans to clear additional areas on the lake's peninsula and around the channel on the west side of the lake. The Corps continues to keep natural vegetation mowed down and has plowed and planted some areas in barley, grass, and other crops that benefit the native wildlife in the area.

We would like to continue helping the Corps keep the grounds clean. In order to do so, we welcome donations to this cause. FRC is a non-profit corporation.
