2010 Retriever Training Classes
Our spring training classes have completed indoor training and are moving outside Sunday, April 25. These classes are open for those who enrolled in the indoor training this spring.
We meet at 3 p.m. in the parking area across from the Red [levee] gate at the Chena Lakes Flood Control Project. Here are written directions:
From Fairbanks: Richardson Hwy to the Buzby-Dawson exit; take the exit; turn left off the exit; go under the overpass and take a right on MIstletoe; take a left onto Laurence Rd; drive about 1/2 mile and enter the Chena Lakes Flood Control Project; when you first get to the levee, look for the parking lot on the left, across the road from the red gate on the top of the levee. NOTE: If you're coming from the Eielson area on the Richardson, you can turn right directly onto Laurence Road and pick up the directions from there.

BOTH classes will meet at 3:00 p.m. It's important you be on time since we don't stay near the parking lot. We will drive to an area open for training. We'll set up several stations (marks). Dress accordingly; mud boots are probably a good idea. Class should last approximately 2 hours, or until all dogs have had a chance to run all marks. If you finish early with your dog, volunteer to go out and help throw a mark for another dog :)
